The Cottage in Westport was named as one of the Nutmeg State’s finest restaurants, a new report from Connecticut Magazine determined. The accolade comes as part of the website’s list of top hotspots in the state.
In the “best for overall excellence” category, The Cottage was joined by:
- Arethusa al tavolo in Litchfield;
- Cafemantic in Willimantic;
- Elizabeth’s Farmhouse in Putnam;
- Grano Arso in Chester;
- Metro Bis in Simsbury;
- Millwright’s in Simbury;
- Oyster Club in Mystic;
- Present Company in Simsbury;
- Shell & Bones Oyster Bar and Grill in New Haven;
- Strega in Branford;
- Swyft in Kent;
- Union League Cafe in New Haven, and;
- Winvian Farm in Morris.
Other categories voted on include “best new restaurant;” “best up-and-coming chefs;” “best pastry chefs;” and highlights the most popular Connecticut restaurants in a variety of different food genres.
